Juli\u00e1n joined Allende & Brea in 2004 and has been the partner in charge of the Antitrust Department since 2007. Prior to joining Allende & Brea, Juli\u00e1n worked at the Ministry of Economy of Argentina advising different ministers and secretaries and working at the National Commission for the Defense of Competition.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
His practice focuses on Antitrust and Competition law issues, including merger control proceedings, anticompetitive practices investigations and compliance work having been involved in many of the most relevant cases in Argentina.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
He is currently a professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella\u2019s Masters on Law and Economics and has been a visiting professor at the University of Florida and a professor at the Graduate Program of the Buenos Aires University, among others. Juli\u00e1n has published three books and many articles and given numerous conferences around the world on competition law.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Julian is founder and moderator of ForoCompetencia (www.ForoCompetencia.com), an e-group focused on competition issues with approximately 2,000 members from the public, private and academic sectors of 25 countries. He is also currently Co-Chair of the Antitrust Section of the International Bar Association, Vice-Chair of the Comments Committee of the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association, and member of the Advisory Board of the Fordham Competition Law Institute and of the American Antitrust Institute.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Julian has been recognized as one of the leading Argentine antitrust lawyers by Global Competition Review, Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Who\u2019s Who of Competition Lawyers, Best Lawyers, Euromoney\u2019s Expert Guides, Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA), Expert Guide\u2019s Best of the Best in Latin America and Latin Lawyer 250, among other publications.
