The National Executive Branch has decided an intervention in the Regulatory Agency for the Hemp Industry and Medicinal Cannabis (ARRICAME). The measure, established through Decree No. 883\/2024, is based on the identification of various operational deficiencies, such as lack of personnel, insufficient operational capacity, and the failure to issue licenses and authorizations. Additionally, it responds to significant demand from the private sector for the agency to function effectively.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that ARRICAME was created by Law No. 27.669, which establishes the regulatory framework for the development of the medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp. Among its functions are the regulation of activities such as the import, export, cultivation, industrial production, manufacturing, commercialization, and acquisition of cannabis seeds, as well as cannabis and its derivative products, for medicinal or industrial purposes.<\/p>\n
The intervention has been set for an initial period of one (1) year, with the possibility of being extended for an equal period, once only, by a reasoned resolution from the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
