The Argentine Access to Public Information Agency, controlling authority of the Personal Data Protection Act and the Access to Public Information Act (the \u201cAAPI\u201d) has issued two new resolutions aimed at strengthening personal data protection within the national public sector and access to public information.<\/p>\n
Resolution 145\/2025 establishes the Program for the Strengthening of Personal Data Protection in the National Public Administration, seeking to train public agencies on best practices for the processing of personal data. The program includes the development of privacy policies, the creation of a network of data protection officers, the registration of databases with the National Registry of Personal Data Bases, and training on applicable national and international regulations. The program will run for three years and aims to promote informational self-determination, legal certainty and transparency in data processing across the public sector. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Resolution 148\/2025 approves the implementation of the Access to Public Information Request Tracking System, which becomes mandatory on September 1st, 2025, for all entities covered by Access to Public Information Act No. 27,275. The system seeks to improve the efficiency of request management, and its implementation is supported by a user manual included in the resolution. <\/p>\n
Both resolutions fall within the framework of the AAPI\u2019s 2022\u20132026 Strategic Plan and reinforce its role as the enforcement authority on access to information and personal data protection.<\/p>\n
