{"id":19780,"date":"2025-08-19T16:32:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:32:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allende.com\/?p=19780"},"modified":"2025-08-19T16:34:34","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:34:34","slug":"initiation-of-the-privatization-process-of-aysa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allende.com\/en\/administrative\/initiation-of-the-privatization-process-of-aysa-08-19-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Initiation of the privatization process of AySA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 19, 2025, Resolution No. 1198\/2025 of the Ministry of Economy (the \u201c<u>Resolution<\/u>\u201d) was published in the Official Gazette, which resolved to initiate the privatization process of Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos Sociedad An\u00f3nima (\u201c<u>AySA<\/u>\u201d), pursuant with Executive Order No. 494\/2025.<\/p>\n<p>Within this framework, the Resolution instructed the Temporary Special Executive Unit \u201cAgency for the Transformation of State-Owned Enterprises\u201d to engage a banking institution of the National Public Sector to carry out the valuation of AySA\u2019s shareholding package, taking into account that the National Valuation Court stated that it was unable to carry out the valuation within a reasonable timeframe.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it was resolved that the Agency for the Transformation of State-Owned Enterprises must complete the sale of at least 51% of AySA\u2019s total shares held by the State to a strategic operator, by means of a national and international public tender, within eight months since the Resolution enters into force. In addition, it must coordinate the necessary actions to carry out the sale, on domestic stock exchanges and markets, of the remaining shares not sold through the public tender process.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Public Works Secretariat was instructed to prepare the bidding documentation -both technical and contractual- required for AySA\u2019s privatization process, including the concession agreement, with the prior intervention of the Agency for the Transformation of State-Owned Enterprises.
