{"id":21984,"date":"2026-04-28T10:08:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T13:08:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allende.com\/?p=21984"},"modified":"2026-04-28T10:08:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T13:08:52","slug":"senasa-approves-new-labeling-rules-for-phytosanitary-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allende.com\/en\/life-sciences-en\/senasa-approves-new-labeling-rules-for-phytosanitary-products-04-28-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"SENASA approves new labeling rules for phytosanitary products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By virtue of Resolution No. 373\/2026, published in the Official Gazette on April 24, 2026, the National Service of Agri\u2011Food Health and Quality (SENASA) approved the rules for the labeling of phytosanitary products through the adoption of the guidelines of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).<\/p>\n<p>The resolution is mandatory for all individuals or legal entities holding registrations of phytosanitary products intended for commercialization in the Argentine territory.<\/p>\n<p>The regulation establishes labeling provisions, including the classification of hazards to human health and the environment, the mandatory information to be included on labels, the models of complete and elementary labels, the physical conditions, the use of colors, typography, permitted languages, and the positioning of the texts.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the resolution establishes specific labeling provisions applicable to samples for trials, technical grade active substances, seed treatment products, wood preservatives, garden line products, products registered under regulatory convergence, and \u201cExport Only\u201d products.<\/p>\n<p>Resolution No. 373\/2026 repeals SENASA Resolution No. 367\/2014 and approves Annexes I to V, which set forth the model of complete labels, the model of elementary labels, and the tables on acute toxicity in mammals, sensitization and dermal and ocular irritation characteristics, and environmental hazards, all of which form an integral part of the regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the resolution provides that it enters into force from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By virtue of Resolution No. 373\/2026, published in the Official Gazette on April 24, 2026, the National Service of Agri\u2011Food Health and Quality (SENASA) approved the rules for the labeling of phytosanitary products through the adoption of the guidelines of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).
