This new version contains some amendments with respect to the version of November 2022.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the new version of the bill, banks and credit institutions (with a new definition) playnow an active role in the disclosure of individuals\u2019 credit information, being in charge of providing such information to the Central Bank of Argentina for its publication, as well as of keeping it updated and being liable to any objections.<\/p>\n\n<p>Moreover, the DPA increased the period of conservation of paid debts in credit report sproposed in the previous Bill, from one to two years.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, in order to harmonize data protection rules with information about human right violations (the so called Memory, Truth and Justice procedures,) the new version of the Bill highlights the importance of exposing human rights violations and crimes against humanity, these being exceptions to the restriction of processing sensitive data and the exercise of erasure.<\/p>\n\n<p>Finally, the bill allows the DPA to postpone the application of the law once effective in certain specific situations.<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This report cannot be considered as legal or any other kind of advice by Allende &amp; Brea.<\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Data Protection Authority (\u00b4DPA\u00b4) published in its website a new version of the Bill that intends to amend the current Personal Data Protection Act No. 25,326.
