As a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and the suspension of administrative deadlines established within the framework of the health measures adopted to mitigate its spread, the due date for the Annual Affidavit provided for in Article 10 of Decree No. 674/89 will begin on July 31st. It is anticipated that it may be submitted through this Ministry’s website: www.argentina.gob.ar/ambiente.
By Resolution No. 131/2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic on April 24, 2020, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation extended until July 31 the expiration of the Annual Affidavit of liquid effluents provided for in article 10 of Decree No. 674/89 (the “DDJJ”).
The measure was adopted because, by virtue of the suspension of the administrative deadlines established by Decree No. 298/20 and its amendment and supplement, it was deemed necessary to establish an extension for the submission of the DDJJ, in such a way as to allow its complete delivery through the website of this Ministry: www.argentina.gob.ar/ambiente.
Regarding the filing of the DDJJ, on April 14, 2020, Resolution No. 113/2020 was published in the Official Gazette, which set a fine of $25,000 for anyone who fails to file it on time.
