Mercedes joined Allende & Brea in 2016 as an intern. She graduated as a Lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires in 2018 and became an associate the same year.
Currently Mercedes is a Senior Associate member of the Intellectual Property and Technology team, and specializes in Internet and technology law, personal data protection, cybersecurity and cybercrime, and industrial and intellectual property matters.
She has vast experience advising national and multinational companies on personal data protection regulations, internet law and cybersecurity.
Mercedes has taught in-company courses on Personal Data Protection and Cybersecurity regulation and has participated as a guest lecturer in the Law and Technology Program at Universidad de San Andrés.
Additionally, Mercedes has completed an LLM course in Compliance at the Universidad del CEMA (UCEMA), a Master’s in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) at UNED (Spain), and has participated in the International Data Protection Course at the Universidad de San Andrés, where she received the IAPP Westin Scholar Award for achieving the highest grade.
She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the IAPP, and the Technology Commission of the Buenos Aires Bar Association (CABA).
