The Ministry of Economy issued Resolution No. 543/2026, published in the Official Gazette on April 28, 2026, approving the model Concession Agreement between the National Government and Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos Sociedad Anónima (AySA).
The measure is framed within AySA’s privatization process, initiated pursuant toLaw No. 27.742 and Decree No. 494/2025, which authorized the sale of at least 51% of the company’s share capital to a strategic operator through a national and international public bidding process.
In this regard, the resolution approves the contractual model governing the provision of the drinking water supply and sewage collection service, in accordance with the regulatory framework approved by Law No. 26.221, as restated by Decree No. 805/2025.
At the same time, the new agreement seeks to structure the relationship between the National Government and AySA in its capacity as concessionaire, setting forth the bases applicable to the provision of the service at this stage of the process.
Finally, the resolution represents a further step within the framework established for AySA’s privatization, by approving one of the instruments required to continue its implementation.
