The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development extended the validity of the Annual Environmental Certificates granted to Transporters and Operators of Hazardous and Pathogenic Waste under National Law No. 24,051 until April 30, 2020
Resolution No. 93/2020, hereinafter the “Resolution”, establishes that the validity of the Annual Environmental Certificates granted to Transporters and Operators of Hazardous and Pathogenic Waste within the framework of National Law No. 24,051 that had operated as of March 1, 2020 and by virtue of being activities covered by Decree No. 297/2020 will be extended until April 30, 2020.
Furthermore, the Resolution establishes that if the expiration of the Annual Environmental Certificates granted to Transporters and Operators of Hazardous and Pathogenic Waste occurs before April 30, 2020, they will be included in the aforementioned extension.
Finally, the Resolution establishes a procedure for obtaining hazardous waste transportation manifests during the mandatory preventive social isolation imposed by Decree No. 297/2020. To do so, transporters may acquire their hazardous waste transportation manifests through the e-recauda system. Once this acquisition has been made, an email must be sent to simel@ambiente.gob.ar, along with the electronic payment slip (VEP) or payment receipt generated through the e-recauda platform and proof of payment from the chosen electronic means. Once the corresponding accreditation has been made, the manifests may be used.
