Argentina initiates an anti-dumping investigation on exports of certain fungicides from Brazil and Perú

The Ministry of Productive Development of Argentina by means of Resolution No. 595/2021 published in the Official Gazette on September 22, 2021, initiated an anti-dumping investigation in relation to exports from Brazil and Peru to Argentina of fungicides based on copper hydroxide, copper oxychloride or cuprous oxide, not containing bromomethane (methyl bromide) or bromochloromethane, presented in forms or containers other than those used in sanitary applications, merchandise classified under Mercosur’s Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff position 3808.92.91.

The initiation of the investigation was requested by the local firm Tort Valls S.A.

The alleged dumping margin for the opening of the investigation was estimated at 60.44% in relation to exports from Brazil and at 58.11% in relation to exports from Peru.

Companies located in Brazil or Peru that export the abovementioned products to Argentina, as well as local companies importing them, can appear before the Ministry of Productive Development and request the questionnaires to participate in the dumping investigation.
