By Resolution 48/2025 dated October 1, 2025, the National Ports and Navigation Agency (the “Agency”) called a Public Hearing with the purpose of submitting for consideration the Environmental Management and Evaluation Report (the “Report”) of the navigable waterway formed by Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay (commonly known as the Hidrovía).
The submission of the Report and the corresponding Public Hearing are administrative steps required for the potential tender of the public works or public service concession of the Hidrovía, which may involve the collection of tolls, fees, or other charges. In principle, a concession whose purpose is the modernization, expansion, operation, and maintenance of the signaling system, as well as dredging and maintenance works on the waterway.
The Public Hearing was scheduled for November 3, 2025, to be held virtually.
The Agency has appointed the Technical Coordination Department as the area responsible for implementing the Public Hearing.
