Starting on October 6, 2025, the Argentine National Immigration Office (DNM), under the Ministry of the Interior, will begin accepting applications for citizenship by naturalization from foreigners who decide to become Argentine citizens and meet the requirements to do so.
The procedures may be initiated by persons over 18 years of age who were born abroad, have obtained temporary or permanent residence, wish to become naturalized Argentine citizens, and meet the requirements of Section 2, paragraph 1, of Citizenship Law 346 and its amendments.
To begin the process, the applicant will need to have the following documentation:
- National Identity Document (DNI).
- Updated Argentine Criminal Record Certificate issued by the National Recidivism Registry.
- Documentation proving your occupation or means of livelihood.
- CUIT/CUIL certificate.
It is important to note that this documentation is for the purpose of initiating the process, and the National Immigration Office may request additional documentation to complete the application.
The procedure must be initiated through the RADEX system of the Immigration Office, and it will be an essential condition for initiating the process that applicants are within Argentine territory.
