Mercedes joined Allende & Brea in 2016 as an intern. She graduated as a Lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires in 2018 and became an associate the same year.
Currently Mercedes is a Senior Associate member of the Intellectual Property and Technology team, and specializes in Internet and technology law, personal data protection, cybersecurity and cybercrime, and industrial and intellectual property matters.
She has vast experience advising national and multinational companies on personal data protection regulations, internet law and cybersecurity.
Mercedes has taught in-company courses on Personal Data Protection and Cybersecurity regulation and has participated as a guest lecturer in the Law and Technology Program at Universidad de San Andrés.
Likewise, Mercedes has completed an LLM course in Compliance at Universidad del CEMA (UCEMA), a Master in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) at UNED (Spain) and has participated in the International Course on Data Protection at Universidad de San Andrés in which she obtained the IAPP Westin Scholar award.
She is a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, the IAPP and the Technology Law Commission of the Bar Association of CABA.
