We are very happy to share with you the publication of the report “Childhood without Parental Care” on which we have been working throughout 2023. The report consists of an investigation requested by the Social Council of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, where we analyzed the processes, regulations and the functioning of public and private organizations related to the adoption regime in force in the City of Buenos Aires. The research was carried out by attorneys Francisca Guyot, Rosario Lawson and Sofía Pasquini and law student Dafne Mancevich.
Undoubtedly, the report provides essential information on adoption and the rights of children and adolescents based on an empirical analysis of how the adoption process works and the regulations in force. By virtue of this, the report addresses the problems identified by the different actors in the process with the aim of ensuring the right of children and adolescents to develop in a family.
The research is the result of a joint effort with two legal departments and five law firms in the country, among them: Accenture, La Meridional Seguros, Beccar Varela, Bruchou Funes de Rioja, Cerolini Ferrari and Marval O’Farrell Mairal. You can access the report through the following link.
