Code of Ethics and Conduct of the National Road Safety Agency

On March 14th, 2022, the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the National Road Safety Agency (hereinafter referred to as the “Code”) was approved by Resolution No. 128/2022.

The Code implements the regulatory framework of integrity and transparency of the NATIONAL AGENCY OF ROAD SAFETY (hereinafter “ANSV”) and regulates the ethical guidelines, duties and obligations of those who perform public functions in the agency, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Ethics in the Exercise of Public Office No. 25188, and its modifications.

The purpose of the Code is to serve as a guide of upright practices focused on transparency and commitment inherent to public management to achieve high standards of integrity. To this end, the Code shall apply to all activities carried out within the framework of the ANSV’s prerogatives.

Chapter I of the Code, establishes the behavior guidelines for all ANSV personnel, regardless of their rank, hierarchy and modality of service -transitory or permanent, paid or honorary-. They are about:

The upright performance of job and contractual responsibilities and the execution of tasks in an efficient and diligent manner;

Knowledge and compliance of the regulations that affect their area of activity;

The preservation of all the materials and developments produced in the exercise of job duties guaranteeing their reserve and confidentiality;

The protection of personal data and information;

The promotion o an internal culture of respect, inclusion and tolerance of diversity among staff and between them and third parties;

The observance of the regulations relating to health care and safety in the workplace.

At the end, it includes a chapter on the prevention of corruption which lists the prohibited conducts and establishes protocols for action in this cases:
