Allende & Brea held its annual informative talk on pro bono work. During the talk, the pro bono work that takes place in the firm was made visible and exposed, and the importance of continuing this work was reinforced.
Allende is one of the few law firms nationwide that has a full-time Pro Bono Coordinator dedicated exclusively to coordinate, seek and expand pro bono work in the firm and in society. This intense dedication reflects Allende’s commitment to working for the public good.
Our work consists of advising non-governmental organizations, such as foundations and civil associations, free of charge, accompanying them from different legal aspects: we collaborate with their incorporation as legal entities, we elaborate legal opinions that solve uncertainties, we prepare manuals, documents and minutes to be presented before public agencies In addition, we participate in social research projects and attend universities, schools and vulnerable neighborhoods to give legal training and lectures.
We understand that our pro bono clients perform an exceptional and essential work in our society and that their participation transforms society into a more democratic, fair and egalitarian one. In this sense, at Allende we seek to be part of this change by accompanying and encouraging NGOs to carry out this work; from our legal knowledge.
