Argentina initiates an anti-dumping investigation on exports of Toluene Diisocyanate from the United States

On November 9, 2020, the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management, by means of Resolution No. 289/2020, initiated an anti-dumping investigation in relation to exports from United States to Argentina of Toluene Diisocyanate 80:20 (with its isomers component tolerances between 82-78 and between 18-22), which are classified under Mercosur’s Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff position 2929.10.21.

The initiation of the investigation was requested by the local producer Petroquímica Rio Tercero S.A.

The alleged dumping margin for the opening of the investigation was estimated at 165.18%.

Companies located in the United States which export the abovementioned products to Argentina, as well as local companies importing them, can appear before the Ministry of Productive Development and request the questionnaires to participate in this investigation.
