Creation of the Corruption Complaints Registry (“Re.De.Co”)

On March 30th, 2023, Resolution No. 69/2023, issued by the Secretariat of Coordination, Welfare, Control and Institutional Transparency under the Ministry of Security, was published in the Official Gazette of the Nation creating the Corruption Complaints Registry (hereinafter “Re.De.Co”) within the Multipurpose File Registry (RLM) module of the Electronic Management System (GDE).

Re.De.Co aims to ensure compliance with the principles of information security, traceability, and transparency and, in turn, to make available the information on corruption allegations affecting the police and security forces. Re.De.Co will make it possible to follow up on investigations undertaken at the administrative level of the security forces and at the judicial level (if applicable) with greater efficiency. It also allows the collection of information for statistical purposes and the preparation of maps that the different federal security forces can use in their own corruption risk mapping.

The Direction of Investigations under the National Directorate of Institutional Transparency will be responsible for managing the Re.De.Co. This Direction is competent to receive complaints related to acts, facts or omissions contrary to public ethics or that could constitute unlawful behavior concerning members, agents, and officers of the Police and Security Forces, the substantiation of the processing of such complaints and the follow-up of the administrative investigations, complaints and grievances filed.
