After a thoroughly review of its governance structure, the partners of Allende & Brea decided to create the role of Chairman, reshape the position of Managing Partner and appoint new members of the Executive Committee, which will lead the firm’s strategic and growth plans.
In that regard, the partners of Allende & Brea appointed Valeriano Guevara Lynch as Chairman, Diego Botana as Managing Partner and María Morena del Río, Raúl Fratantoni and Marcos Patrón Costas as additional members of the Executive Committee.
Guevara Lynch has been with the firm for 28 years dedicated to mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial advice to the firm’s clients. He also was the Managing Partner for the last 10 years. His transition to chairman as institutional representative of the firm is a natural move to take advantage of his years of experience in managing the firm’s institutional relationships.
Botana has been with the Allende for more than 30 years advising clients on corporate, financing, regulatory and business matters, and has significant experience in the management of the firm since he was a member of the Executive Committee for several years.
The transition between the managing partners has already started smoothly, since both are members of the firm’s executive committee.
“Diego is an outstanding lawyer, trusted by our clients for several years on complex matters and has the honor of having been designated as ad hoc Supreme Court member. Diego embodies our firm’s principles and will be a pleasure to continue working with him at the Executive Committee and implementing our growth plans” Guevara Lynch says.
Commenting on his new position, Botana says: “I am honored to step into the managing partner role and continue Valeriano’s leadership over the last 10 years. During my tenure I will support our colleagues in their careers, ensure that our clients are served every day with the best legal services and lead the firm through our growth plans. As to our new role of Chairman, Valeriano naturally fits in it, taking int account his strong commitment together with his proved capabilities as a genuine representative of the firm. Both roles will truly help the implementations of our strategic plan”.
