Agostina L. Martínez is a senior associate at the Natural Resources and Energy practice since 2017. She obtained her law degree from “Universidad Católica de Cuyo” and holds a Master in Laws (LL.M) with Distinction in Mineral Law and Policy from the University of Dundee, Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), Scotland, United Kingdom. In 2019, she attended the Course on International Oil & Gas Law, Contracts and Negotiations Part I and II organized by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (Houston, United States). In 2020, she obtained the postgraduate degree “Hydrocarbons and Energy Industry Regulation” from the Universidad Católica Argentina.

Prior to joining Allende & Brea she worked as legal intern at Infra Shares Partners Limited (London, United Kingdom), as an associate at the Department of Mining at Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and the International Energy Charter (Brussels, Belgium). Additionally, she worked as Mining and Governance Content Assistant in the Extractive Industries Source Book, a project funded and sponsored by the World Bank.

For the past few years Agostina has been conducting research on several matters related to the mining industry globally and regionally. She is Editorial Assistant at Argentine Journal on Energy, Hydrocarbons and Mining Law (RADHEM) as from September 2020. She has been ranked as Star Associate by Chambers and Partners and Rising Star by Legal 500 within the Energy & Natural Resources: Mining area.

She is a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (formerly Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF)) and the International Bar Association (IBA).
