Argentina initiates an anti-dumping investigation on exports of vinyl chloride polymers from Turkey

On May 13, 2021, the Ministry of Productive Development of Argentina by means of Resolution No. 238/2021 initiated an anti-dumping investigation in relation to exports from Turkey to Argentina of Profiles of vinyl chloride polymers (of the kind used in the manufacturing of openings or closures), which are classified under Mercosur’s Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff position 3916.20.00.

The initiation of the investigation was requested by the local producer Tecnoperfiles S.A.

The alleged dumping margin for the opening of the investigation was estimated at 74.50%.

Companies located in the Turkey which export the abovementioned products to Argentina, as well as local companies importing them, can appear before the Ministry of Productive Development and request the questionnaires to participate in this investigation.
