National Health Insurance Agents Registry

By means of Resolution No. 232/2024 (the “Resolution”), the Superintendence of Health Services changed the name of the “National Health Insurance Entities Registry” (Registro Nacional de Obras Sociales) for “National Health Insurance Agents Registry” (Registro Nacional de Agentes del Seguro or “RNAS”), in order to allow the registration of Prepaid Medical Entities (Empresas de Medicina Prepaga).

In addition, the Resolution provides that Prepaid Medical Entities who choose to receive the funds for health care benefits must request the registration under the RNAS, while also having to be registered under the National Prepaid Medical Entities RegistryRegistro Nacional de Entidades de Medicina Prepaga).”).

The Resolution also provides the documents Prepaid Medical Entities shall file to request the registration under the RNAS, which are described as follows:

  1. 1. Affidavit containing name of the company, Tax Identification Number (CUIT), corporate address, e-mail, list of company authorities, and National Prepaid Medical Entities Registry number;
  2. 2. Articles of incorporation or by-laws;
  3. 3. Medical Assistance Benefits Program;
  4. 4. Last two annual financial statements;
  5. 5. Notarized copy of the last appointment of the Board of Directors or Management; and
  6. 6. Notarized copy of the corporate resolution approving the application for registration with RNAS.

The possibility to request the registration will be available from March 1st, 2024, through the Trámites a Distancia platform.
